Spotlight in the 17th: Wayne Art Center

Wayne Art Center is truly one of the greatest gems in the arts that District 17 has to offer, and Senator Cappelletti was thrilled to pay them a visit for this month’s Spotlight in the 17th! For artists and art lovers alike, Wayne Art Center has something for everyone to enjoy. Each year, the Center welcomes more than 35,000 visitors, offers 500 classes and workshops, and teaches nearly 6,000 students a variety of creative skills.

As our Commonwealth and country celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, Senator Cappelletti visited the Historical Society of Montgomery County, PA to explore some exciting pieces of local history. District 17 is fortunate to have dedicated local historians like Dr. David Young, Executive Director of the Historical Society, safeguarding documents and items that remind us of where our nation has been – and just how much work remains to build a country that truly serves We The People. For this month’s Spotlight in the 17th, Senator Cappelletti visited D’Iyanu: a family-owned clothing company right in the heart of Norristown. Touring Goodwill Keystone in East Norriton
