Norristown, PA – February 17, 2026 – Senator Amanda Cappelletti (D-17 Delaware/Montgomery) announced $459,144 in grant funding for several local fire companies and emergency medical services (EMS) departments serving Senate District 17.

The Office of the State Fire Commissioner awarded the funding through the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grant Program, which provides investments for facilities repairs or upgrades, equipment, training and education programming, and more. 

“Our first responders stand on the frontlines of our communities’ health and wellbeing, often putting themselves in harm’s way to answer the call during our most critical moments,” said Senator Cappelletti. “Our firefighters and EMS providers work tirelessly to serve us and our loved ones, and I’m proud to help provide these investments to ensure they have the funding they need and deserve.”
