Norristown, PA – January 20, 2026 – Senator Amanda M. Cappelletti (D-17 Delaware/Montgomery) is proud to announce $4,366,424 in state grant funding for several projects across her district.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority approved the investments on Tuesday morning through the Multimodal Transportation Fund, and the Small Water and Sewer Program.

“These investments are vital to the overall health and functionality of our communities,” said Senator Cappelletti. “Each project our municipalities are undertaking – from sidewalk installations and upgrades, to flood mitigation efforts – plays an essential role in ensuring District 17 thrives. I am proud to have worked alongside my colleagues in the Pennsylvania House to secure this funding, and I look forward to seeing these projects deliver tangible benefits to our neighbors.”

With Representative Tim Briggs (D-149, Montgomery), Senator Cappelletti announced the following awards:

  • Upper Merion Township: $800,000 in Multimodal Transportation Funds for the Moore Road Multimodal Trail & Linear Park – Phase 1 Construction Funding.

“I’ve long championed connecting our entire community through a safe, accessible trail network, and the Moore Road multimodal trail and linear park project is exactly the kind of smart, forward-looking transportation investment Upper Merion needs. This support moves us closer to a connected corridor that links neighborhoods, jobs, and recreation, while giving people more options to walk, bike, and enjoy our community,” Rep. Briggs said.

  • Upper Merion Township: $162,000 in Small Water and Sewer Program funds for Balligomingo Pump Station Protection.

“This funding will help Upper Merion strengthen critical pump station infrastructure and protect nearby homes and businesses from the increasingly severe flooding our community has been experiencing. By investing in streambank stabilization at the Balligomingo Pump Station, we are safeguarding public safety, our local environment, and the reliability of essential services for residents,” Rep. Briggs said.

With Representative Lisa Borowski (D-168, Delaware), Senator Cappelletti announced the following awards:

  • Radnor Township: $1,700,000 from the Multimodal Transportation Fund for the Radnor Trail Extension Project.

“During my time as a Radnor Commissioner, I was a part of the inception of this project and am thrilled that state investment will help move it forward. This trail expansion will increase pedestrian safety and recreation in one of our most popular travel corridors and move us closer to the goal of a fully connected trail network throughout Delaware County,” Rep. Borowski said.
