Ardmore, PA – July 24, 2024 – Senator Amanda M. Cappelletti (D – Montgomery/Delaware) is pleased to announce the approval of over $1.4 million in tax credits for expanding affordable housing in Montgomery County.
The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) has granted these tax credits, a significant boost, to support the growing need for affordable housing options in the Commonwealth. The tax credits will be instrumental in bringing the upcoming senior living community, Ardmore House II, to life.
“I applaud the PHFA for their commitment to expanding affordable housing options in Montgomery County. I am grateful to represent municipalities like Lower Merion who are working hard to address the affordable housing crisis we are facing across the Commonwealth,” said Sen. Cappelletti. “This significant investment will provide much-needed housing for seniors and enhance our community’s overall quality of life.”
The senior living community, Ardmore House II, will be a unique and innovative solution to the pressing need for affordable senior housing in the region. It will provide a safe and comfortable living environment, with amenities and services designed to promote independence and well-being. The project aims to create a vibrant and inclusive community where seniors can thrive and continue to contribute to society.
Sen. Cappelletti remains committed to advocating for affordable housing initiatives and ensuring that every individual has access to safe and affordable housing. The approval of tax credits for this senior living community is a step in the right direction toward achieving this goal.
