(September 16, 2024) – Norristown, PA – Senator Cappelletti today announced $7,240,711 has been awarded to District Seventeen in state grants through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD). This funding was awarded to victim services, reentry programs, and more.
“When our community members are in need, these county programs and local organizations are the first places they reach out to,” said Senator Cappelletti. “I’m proud to support investments into our communities that help the most vulnerable, and that’s exactly what this funding does.”
PCCD met on September 11, 2024 to approve funds from Federal Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Funds, Local Law Enforcement Support Grant Funds, Federal Project Safe Neighborhood Funds, State Act 80 Funds, Federal STOP Violence Against Women Act Funds, Federal Sexual Assault Services Formula Grant Program Funds, Federal Victims of Crime Funds, and Federal Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program Funds.
