Norristown – September 9, 2026 – Senator Amanda M. Cappelletti (D-17, Delaware/Montgomery) is proud to announce $6,440,565 in grant funding approved by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) that will uplift county services and nonprofit agencies serving the 17th Senate District.
The approved investments for agencies serving Senate District 17 come from Federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funds, which specifically support organizations that provide services to crime victims like crisis intervention, emergency shelter, counseling, and court accompaniment.
“Crime victims and survivors are some of our most vulnerable neighbors, and they deserve comprehensive tools and resources that help them heal,” said Senator Cappelletti. “I’m pleased to see our Commonwealth consistently investing back into victim services here in Delaware and Montgomery Counties, ensuring every one of our neighbors has an accessible support system when they need it most.”
The awards serving the 17th Senate District include:
- Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania – $495,005 to increase safety for victims of domestic abuse.
- Delaware County Victim Assistance Center – $795,493 for the Victims of Crime Act – Delaware County.
- Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County, Inc. – $431,870 to provide services for victims of domestic violence.
- Family Support Line of Delaware County, Inc. – $283,325 to maintain CAC services to Delaware County.
- CASA Youth Advocates, Inc. – $371,454 for advocacy serving child victims of abuse and neglect.
- Child Advocacy Center of Montgomery County – $174,116 for a coordinated response to child abuse.
- Laurel House – $368,170 for Laurel House domestic violence supportive services.
- The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth – $754,735 for renewal of Heather’s Hope victim services program.
- Victim Services Center of Montgomery County, Inc. – $483,140 to support victims of sexual assault and other crimes.
- Women’s Center of Montgomery County, Inc. – $418,797 for domestic violence comprehensive services.
- SeniorLAW Center – $1,773,231 for Keeping Elder Victims S.A.F.E.
- Children’s Crisis Treatment Center – $91,229 for clinical care coordination for child victims.
