Norristown, PA – November 1, 2024 – Senator Amanda M. Cappelletti (D- Montgomery/ Delaware) today announced $7,326,775 in state funding awarded to capital improvement projects. Funded through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), RACP is a Commonwealth grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the design, acquisition, and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects.
“RACP funding allows our communities to make needed capital improvements. I am particularly enthused to see funding go towards improving the centers and places that build community and bring people together around the district,” said Senator Cappelletti. “I’m proud to work with municipalities and local businesses to ensure state resources are going to projects that will make the biggest positive impact in the region, for both the economy and the wellbeing of the people who live, work, and visit here.”
In Montgomery County, four projects received awards:
- Lower Merion Township, (Sen. Cappelletti, Rep. Briggs, Rep. Daley) Department of Parks & Recreation was awarded $1,000,000 to go towards the Ardmore Community Center-PALM Senior Center Replacement Renovation II project.
- Norristown Zoological Society dba Elmwood Park Zoo (Sen. Cappelletti, Rep. Scott) was awarded $3,000,000 for the Elmwood Park Zoo Animal Hospital and Welcome Center projects.
- KGSB Investor, LLC, (Sen. Cappelletti, Rep. Daley) was awarded $1,000,000 for the One Belmont Parking Garage project.
- Provco Pinegood Golph, LLC, (Sen. Cappelletti, Rep. Briggs) was awarded $1,000,000 for the First Avenue Multimodal transportation improvement project.
“From transportation infrastructure projects to investments in education, state government funding is essential for local development, as it provides the key resource that our community needs to strengthen our quality of life and deliver valuable initiatives,” said Rep. In Delaware County, two projects received awards:
- Radnor Township (Sen. Cappelletti, Rep. Borowski) was awarded $826,775 for the Creutzburg Center Renovations project.
- Villanova University (Sen. Cappelletti, Rep. Borowski) was awarded $500,000 for the Villanova University Library renovation project.

Borowski, D-Delaware. “Enhanced facilities, along with our outstanding educators, inspire and excite our students and help to ensure everyone who wants access, has access.”
