Funding for the following PHARE awards comes from the Marcellus Shale Impact Fees and Realty Transfer Taxes. These targeted investments will provide necessary support for programs in both Delaware and Montgomery Counties that are tackling homelessness prevention, expanding affordable and safe housing options, and providing financial counseling.
“When we’re talking about affordable housing, it’s not just a concept or a talking point we’re throwing around. Around half of Pennsylvanians are living paycheck to paycheck and are either struggling to afford the housing they have or navigating life unhoused,” said Senator Cappelletti. “This targeted funding is essential in tackling our housing crisis head on, and gets our Commonwealth one step closer to providing everyone with a safe, affordable place to call home at the end of the day.”
